The Triopo KD30X120 Strip Softbox is a professional 30 × 120cm lighting modifier designed to create soft, narrow, and controlled illumination for portrait photography, fashion, beauty, product photography, commercial advertising, and video production.
Its long rectangular shape is particularly effective for producing rim light, edge highlights, hair light, and controlled side lighting. It can help separate a subject from the background while limiting unnecessary illumination across the rest of the set.
The quick-opening frame allows the softbox to be assembled and collapsed without installing individual support rods for every shoot. This makes it suitable for photographers and filmmakers who frequently move between studio and location setups.
Triopo’s release mechanism also allows the assembled modifier to be folded by supporting it securely and operating the mounting ring as directed.
The reflective silver interior redirects light toward the diffusion layers, helping improve output efficiency and coverage across the front of the modifier.
A mid-height internal diffuser begins spreading the concentrated light before it reaches the removable external panel. This dual-diffusion system helps reduce hotspots and produce smoother illumination across the softbox’s long surface.
The included honeycomb grid restricts sideways spill and keeps more of the light directed toward the subject. This is useful for adding controlled highlights without unnecessarily illuminating the background or nearby areas.
The grid can be removed when wider and less restricted coverage is preferred.
A standard Bowens mount connects the strip softbox to compatible COB LED lights, continuous studio fixtures, monolights, and flash heads.
Traditional Speedlites require a separately compatible Bowens adapter unless one is explicitly included with the store’s package.
Placed behind or beside a subject, the narrow 30 × 120cm shape can create a continuous highlight along the body, clothing, hair, or product edges.
The stripbox may also be used vertically for full-length portraits, horizontally above products, or at an angle for controlled key and fill lighting.
