Compact lantern softbox for soft, broad lighting
The Triopo KQ55 Lantern Softbox is a compact 55cm spherical lighting modifier designed to produce soft, broad, and natural-looking illumination for photography and video production.
Its lantern shape distributes light across a wider area than a conventional directional softbox, making it useful for interviews, livestreaming, podcast studios, portraits, product photography, and cinematic productions.
Soft wraparound illumination
The translucent spherical surface diffuses direct light from a compatible LED fixture or studio flash. This creates smoother highlights and softer shadow transitions across faces, products, and surrounding spaces.
The broad light spread is particularly useful when illuminating a presenter and part of the background with one source or when adding soft ambient fill to a small studio.
Quick-opening collapsible design
The KQ55 features a collapsible frame that can be opened and folded quickly without assembling individual rods before every session.
Its smaller 55cm size is easier to position in compact studios and content-creation spaces than larger lantern modifiers. Once folded, it fits into the supplied carrying bag for transport and storage.
Bowens mount compatibility
A standard Bowens mount allows the KQ55 to connect to compatible COB LED lights, continuous-light fixtures, monolights, and studio flash heads.
Before use, confirm that the lighting fixture and stand can safely support the modifier. A stable stand and suitable counterweight are recommended when positioning it overhead or on a boom.
Optional spill control
A separately available compatible skirt may be used to restrict light spill and direct illumination toward selected areas. The skirt is not included, and compatibility with this specific softbox version should be confirmed before purchase.
